It also provides cost-per-terabyte secondary storage software and systems, such as ActiveScale Object Storage Software, a storage for building massive data lakes, storage clouds, and cold archives; DXi Backup Appliances for backup and recovery and multisite data protection; Scalar Tape Storage, a storage for long-term data archiving and offline data protection; and CatDV Asset Management Software for indexing, cataloging, AI data enrichment, and workflow orchestration. In addition, the company sells standalone linear-tape open tape drives for small business data protection and archiving, as well as linear-tape open media for use in tape storage systems. Further, it offers global support, deployment and consulting, and education services, as well as Quantum-as-a-Service. The company serves media and entertainment, life sciences, gaming and hospitality, retail, education, energy, financial services, and manufacturing industries, as well as hyperscale cloud providers, US federal and public sector, safe cities, and government. The company sells its products through a network of distributors, value-added resellers, direct marketing resellers, original equipment manufacturers, and other suppliers, as well as directly to corporate entities and government agencies. Quantum Corporation was incorporated in 1980 and is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado.
